P52 – ESTATE AND OFFICE SERVICE MANAGEMENT (NON-LIFE)

Background

Estate has been traditionally insurance company’s important investment area. Office services on the other hand looks after the material supplies in the organization and affects employee attitudes and responses apart from contributing to work environment and organizational culture.

 

Objectives

At the end of the programme, the participants will be able to

• Manage estate as assets to fetch derived income for the organization

• Take necessary steps with regard to legal aspects of estate management

• Arrange required equipments and materials support to all offices under their jurisdiction

• Plan and ensure activities for maintenance of estates, equipments and materials

• Provide amenities and service benefits to the staff

• Security including preventive measures

• Printing and stationery: control, designing, technology, procedure of purchase

• Budget - capital, revenue

• Staff amenities and service benefits

• Use of IT for better record keeping and management

·         Regulatory issues in Purchases & Salvage disposal (CVC guide lines, Transfer of property Act, Public Premises Act etc).

Officers carrying on responsibilities of maintaining Estates and Office Services in Head

Offices, Regional Offices and Divisional Offices of General Insurance Companies.
