  P289 – RDBMS JAVA BASED PROGRAMMING

Background

Databases are today an integral part of most information systems.  Database approach offers a number of important and practical advantages to an organization. Reducing redundancy improves the consistency of data while reducing the waste in storage space.  Sharing data often permits new data processing applications to be developed without having to create new data files. 

 

Java is an object-oriented programming language, "simple, distributed, interpreted, portable, robust, architecture neutral, secure, portable, high performance and multithreaded", as the Sun Microsystems’ official definition says.

 

Java language can be used to make applications by accessing Oracle RDBMS as the backend. JAVA Database Connectivity’s (JDBC)  emergence as a language of choice for web applications.  JSQL (JAVA SQL) can also be used for WEB databases as the language to use for interface between HTML pages and the database servers.

 Objectives:

After completion of this programme, participants will be able to use JAVA tool to develop/maintain web application by use Oracle as Backend Database.

Java, Java Script, Objects, Methods and Properties, Javascript variables, functions, Validation,  To create dynamic forms with javascript, Web Application (Static and Dynamic), Menus, Servlets, CGI and HTML Interface, JNDI, Java Beans, Understanding of database programming in Java using JDBC  and SQL programming through the JDBC interface, JSQL

AO, Asst. Manager, Dy. Manager, Manager and Chief Manager from IT Department of  Head Office,  Regional Office, Divisional Office , Branch Office and Training Centers.

Note: Prior knowledge of  Oracle/SQL is essential  Officers / Executives from other department and should have the basic knowledge of Programming
