P37 – MANAGEMENT OF EXECUTIVE STRESS (NON-LIFE)

Background

Role-expectations from Executives are increasing in their multiplicity, variety and complexity. Often, they even experience mutually conflicting expectations. No wonder that Executives work under a near-distress situation and learn to accept it as an inevitable condition of their workplace. When their personal values and the role-demands cross each other, the situation gets compounded. Modern day life is stressful enough. Organisational life is more so. And the rapidly changing economic scene makes it most so. Learning coping mechanisms is both in the personal interest of the Executive and his organisation.
