P200 – PROGRAMME ON CYBER LAWS (COMBINED)

 

Background:

Cyber Laws have become a critical area of knowledge for every Professional and Corporate entity, whether in field of computers, IT or otherwise. Cyber Law awareness and compliance are essential Quality Parameters.  With the cyber enactments in various countries, the electronic contracts have attained legal sanctity. Cyber contracts would be the fundamental building blocks of the modern society. Occurrences of cyber crimes and cyber property disputes for domain names, copyrights and patents are becoming common.

 

Objectives:

 

At the end of this programme, the participants will be able to:

 

§         Describe the important aspects of Cyber Laws;

§         Realize the implications of Cyber Laws on insurance functioning;  

§         Describe the concept of Public Key Encryption (PKI) ;

§         Use formative assessment to promote effective learning;

§         Apply concepts PKI in insurance transactions;

Indian:  Regional Managers in IT, Personnel and Industrial Relations, Legal and audit at zonal offices, Secretaries and Assistant Secretaries in IT, Personnel, Legal and audit departments of Central Office of Life Insurance Corporation of India. Deputy Managers and Managers in charge of IT, Personnel/HRD, legal and audit departments at Regional and Head offices of General Insurance companies.

 

Overseas: Executives of Insurance Companies designated, performing and/or having interest in the IT, Personnel, HRD, legal and audit departments of  insurance companies.
