Background

Understanding the theory behind creativity is the key for solving problems and taking decisions on problems, which cannot be solved with left-brain thinking alone. Creativity is the connecting and rearranging of knowledge in the minds of people who will allow themselves to think flexibly- to generate new, often revolutionary ideas that others judge to be useful.

 

Objectives

On the culmination of the programme, the participants will:

• Have a better understanding and appreciation of “Creativity Concept”

• Increase their skills in defining problems and generating  solutions integrating

Logical and lateral thinking

• Understand that creativity is a process for which necessary skills can be acquired

• Have ‘Holistic’ left-brain and right-brain thinking

• Apply the concepts learnt in day-to-day functioning

• Brain Storming / Brain Sailing

• Defining a problem / Re-defining a problem

• Introduction to left and right brain thinking

• Attributes of creativity

• Problem Solving and Quality of solution

• Lateral thinking in decision-making

• Integrating lateral and vertical thinking into problem solving and decision-making

• Experiential learning in creativity
