P332 – PROGRAMME ON WEB ENABLED APPLICATION

DEVELOPMENT USING LINUX

(COMPANY SPECIFIC PROGRAMME FOR L.I.C. OF INDIA)

Background:

Well-designed and developed web-based applications have become essential to any business for better services to its external as well as internal customers. The development & deployment of web-enabled Linux-based business applications will help deliver various information-services to internal and external customers with better flexibility in terms on location and time.

Linux-based web-application development tools like Apache Web-server, MySQL Database, PHP and related other tools are getting increasing importance and acceptability in various organizations. It is in this context, this programme has been offered.

Objectives:

During this programme, participants will be able to learn the necessary knowledge and skills for effective design and development of web-enabled applications on Linux platform and related software development tools.

Contents:

·     Design and Development of web-based applications by using these tools

·     Install & configure Linux, Apache, PHP and other related tools

·     Connectivity to MySQL database

·     MySQL Queries along with related concepts

·     Programming in PHP

·     Object-Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming

·     Hands-on exercises on these tools for the development of web-based application

Participants’ Profile:

Selected AAO  / AO / Programmers, AO (IT), Asst. Secretary, Secretary and Manager of IT Department from Central Office, Zonal Office, Divisional Office , Branch Office and Training Centers

Note: Familiarity with Linux, conceptual knowledge of programming & databases are necessary.
