P345 – PROGRAMME ON NETWORK AND DATA CENTRE ADMINISTRATION

Background:  

A network is a system of computers that are linked to each other so that staff  and customers of an organisation can have access to common information, transfer files to each other and communicate via e-mail.

A data center is a facility used for housing a large amount of electronic equipment, computers and communications equipment. As the name implies, a data center is usually maintained by an organization for the purpose of handling the data necessary for its operations.

Objectives:  

At the end of this programme  the participants will able to design, develop and implement the computer network and data centre and also will be able to maintain the same.

Contents:

·     Data Communication and Network Concepts

·     Design of a Network Structure (Local Area Network & Wide Area Network)

·     Topology, Protocol and OSI

·     Data Communication / Network Equipments (Switch, Router, MODEM, etc.)

·     Designing and managing Data center

·     Data Center Application

·   Security and Disaster Management

 

Participants’ Profile:  

AO, Asst. Manager, Dy. Manager, Manager and Chief Manager from IT Department of  Head Office,  Regional Office, Divisional Office , Branch Office and Training Centers.
