Background:

With the growing use of computers in the insurance companies, it is becoming necessary for the insurers to do all the activities on the computer. To do all the activities most of the insurers are depending upon the computer professional. To handle the computer independently and carry out the analytical processing it is necessary for every one in the industry to know details about the computer and its usage, which will help as a tool for decision support.

Microsoft® Office and Open Office.org both are a powerful and complicated suite of products that most companies have yet to realize their full potential. Office as business tools will help you in increasing your level of Office Automation.

Office Automation involves connecting spreadsheets, word processing, database, email, and other office activities into a unified system that eliminates confusing duplication of data and wasted effort.

Integration of Spreadsheet, Word Processing, Database, Email, Intranet, Web, etc. in many ways is possible in Microsoft Office and which is a tool for decision support system.
