Experience

Qualified in the year 1981 and joined M/s Lovelock and Lewes, Chartered Accountants as qualified Accountant and had a experience of auditing multinational companies, financial institutions and management consultant.

Joined LIC in the cadre of AAO in the year 1983 as Direct Recruit under CA batch. First posting in Finance & Accounts Department of the Corporate Office.  He has handled the finalization of LIC Accounts and Financial Statements.  

Then he moved to marketing operations and worked as a Senior Branch Manager In-charge in Rural & Urban branches and also Divisional Manager In-charge of Pension & Group Superannuation Operations.

Thereafter he was posted to Investment department in the cadre of Dy. Secretary and headed the newly set up Equity Research Cell of LIC.  He was involved in the training of 20 officers for specialization in Finance & Investment. He was trained extensively the areas Finance & Investment at IIM, Ahmedabad. He has also get opportunity to get trained for advanced investment programme conducted by NIA with the Association of Manchester Business School at Manchester.  During his latest 10 years of experience in Investment Department, he worked in various areas namely Fund Management, Equity research, Secondary market operations, and Insurance portfolio management. He has also handled the fund management of newly set up ULIP Scheme.

He was the Chief of Treasury Operations of Life Insurance Corporation of India for a period of 3 years.  Thereafter he was given responsibilities of setting up new Pension Scheme Fund Management Department in LIC. On his promotion in the cadre of Executive Director of LIC, he has been posted on deputation to NIA as Professor. 

He is on the board of OTCI Exchange, Mumbai.  He is also Executive Committee Member of National Commodity and Derivative Exchange right from the set of the Exchange. He is Investment Committee Member of UTI Venture Capital.  He has largely involved in restructuring of Investment Department of LIC and also trained professional Fund Managers of LIC.
