Background
Started his career as software developer in late 80s.

Then, worked as IT faculty in the Department of Computer Science at Fergusson College (Pune) during 1990 to 95. During that period, was associated with examination and paper-assessment related activities of UoP (University of Pune) and also invited as guest faculty at SP College and Modern College (Pune).

Then, worked as IT faculty at NIBM (National Institute of Bank Management, Pune) during 1995 to 2005, in various capacities. Was Associate Professor (IT) & Group Coordinator there, before joining NIA. Was involved in research, training and consultancy activities during these ten years. Visited UK in 1996 for participating in the workshop on Client-Server Computing & Security. Was an invited-speaker to Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) in 2005 to address on "IT Enabled Transformations", to senior and top executives in financial sector from various countries in Asia. Written a couple of books, several articles and papers on IT related subjects. Was a member of BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) technical committee on IT-Security. This committee is responsible for establishing and continuously developing Info-Security standards for our country.

Working as Associate Professor (IT) here at NIA, since July 2005.

Areas of Interest
Prototype Software Development in insurance and other related areas; Data Warehousing, Data Mining, Business Intelligence Systems and KM; IS Security, IS Audit and IS Risk Management.

Qualifications Ph.D., MCM, B.Sc. (Electronics) Passed CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) examination in the first attempt, conducted by ISACA (Information Systems Audit & Control Association) USA.
