Introduction:
National Insurance Academy (NIA), Pune, is organizing 3 Days Workshop for CIE / Specified Persons of Corporate Agents in line with IRDA’s Recent Circular dated 3rd July 2009: Ref: IRDA/AGENTS/ORD/17/JULY 2009, dealing with the Guidelines on Qualifications of Corporate Insurance Executives and Faculty of Agents’ Training Institutes.
Contents:
• Current Market Scenario and Future Challenges of the Insurance Industry in India.
• Analysis of existing products, process of new product development and pricing of insurance products
• Effective use of e-channels for sales and services of insurance business
• IRDA Regulations on Corporate Agency, Protection of Policyholder’s Interest, Advertisement and Publicity.
• Legal aspects of insurance business as per Insurance Act, 1938 & amendments.
• Marketing Strategy for Corporate agency business development.
• Integration and Management of Insurers – Corporate Agents-Customer Relationships.
• Design and Development of Customer Service Delivery.

Fee for the workshop:
The fee for the workshop is Rs.12000/-, which covers course material, tuition fee, residential accommodation (A/C) and boarding.
Nominations:
All participants must be nominated by their organizations. Last date of nomination will be announced later.
The course fee must be sent by demand draft, payable at Pune in favour of National Insurance Academy, along with the nomination form(s).
About National Insurance Academy:
NIA was established in 1980, primarily as a training institute for senior executives of insurance industry by the Life Insurance and General Insurance Industry with active support from the Government of India. Over the years, the Academy's activities have diversified and now encompass training, research, education, consultancy and publications.
The Academy has been recognized as an associate member of the Federation of Afro Asian Insurers and Reinsurers (FAIR) and also for imparting training under the Technical Cooperation Scheme of Colombo Plan (TCS).
The Campus:
The Campus of the Academy is located on a sprawling 32-acre plot consisting of beautiful and aesthetically crafted gardens and fountains at Balewadi on the outskirts of Pune city. It is at a distance of 15 kms from Pune Railway station and 24 kms from Pune Airport. Six fully residential training programmes can be held simultaneously on the campus. The campus is also provided with facilities for indoor games such as badminton, table tennis, carom, billiards etc. and outdoor games such as lawn tennis, mini golf, basketball etc.
A well-equipped Hi-Tech Gymnasium with Jacuzzi, Sauna, Steam Bath, Hydro Massager, Cold shower and a Swimming Pool are the latest additions in this prestigious campus.
City of Pune and its Climate:
Pune is situated at a distance of 160 kms from Mumbai. It is connected with Mumbai by Air, Railway and Express highway. Journey by air is 30 minutes duration and by railways it is 3 hours 30 minutes. There are a number of special trains like 'Intercity Express', 'Deccan Queen”, 'Indrayani Express' and 'Pragati Express' running between Pune and Mumbai. Pune is connected by air with other major cities of India like Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, etc.
Pune city has a moderate climate throughout the year.
